The finish of Contiboard only requires wiping with a damp cloth, any stubborn marks may be removed with white spirit or a mild household cleaner.

The melamine surface of Contiboard can be painted. The surface should be degreased using soap and water, taking care not to wet the product, and then sanded. After you have removed the dust, you can then paint using oil based paint or specially formulated laminate paint.

Conti can be finished with special effects such as stencilling or decoupage.

Decorative plinths and mouldings are best created with a jigsaw using a fine blade. Always mark out your pattern first on the surface using a template and pencil.
